Amazons
The Amazons are coming!
Dear friends and fellow freebooters
The Amazons are at the doors. They will be available for the first time at RPC in Cologne. As an exclusive pre-release. Only at the con, only as a starter set, only at our stand and only in limited numbers. So hot off the sculpting table that their character cards for Freebooter’s Fate aren’t even final yet.
And that’s where you come in. Not only can you be on of the first people worldwide to take these gorgeous miniatures home with you. No, you can even get famous for doing so. Well, at least a tiny little bit.
Anybody who sends us feedback about how the new crew plays on the tabletop by no later than 30 June 2011 can see his or her name printed in the new Freebooter’s Fate book.
Those who can’t make it to RPC don’t have to miss out on the chance of be
coming a beta tester. As soon as we’ve recovered from the con stress, we’ll put the pre-release character cards on the Internet for a short time. So keep your eyes peeled for the announcement on our website.
Go on then. Join in. See your name in print. So you can say you were there when the Amazons came.
And now for some small print:
Feedback which only reaches us after 30 June 2011 can unfortunately not be considered.
The feedback has to have a certain quality and length in order to qualify for playtester credit. In particular, we are looking for answers to these questions:
How do the Amazons perform against other crews?
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
What do you think of them? Are they a fun crew to play with?
Please send your feedback to christian@freebooterminiatures.de .
As soon as the final character cards are out, we will be sending out a set free of charge to everybody who bought the pre-release Amazon set. Please remember to give us your address when buying the set. We will only use it to send you the final character cards.
WAMP 2011
Freebooter Miniatures sponsoring WAMP 2011
We are co-sponsors of a painting competition called WAMP 2011, which features the competition itself, demo games and club displays, organised by the nice people over at the WAMP forum. Judges include inter alia the McVeys.
The event will be held at Maelstrom Games, Mansfield, UK (incidentally a stockist of Freebooter Miniatures) on Saturday, 4 June 2011. We are the proud sponsors of the “People’s Choice Award” which will be awarded by the attendees of the event. Doors open at 11am, entry is free and should probably also be pointed out that the location has a fully-licensed bar and restaurant and parking is free.

RPC
RPC on 7 and 8 May in Cologne!
We’re really looking forward to your visiting us at the RPC on 7 and 8 May at the Messehallen in Cologne. You’ll find our stand right next to the Brückenkopf tabletop terrain and the snackpoint in hall 2. Stand number is 271.
We’ll be presenting the new Amazon crew and you will get the opportunity to use them in a demo game. Yes, that’s right: you actually get to touch them and play with them.
Freebooter’s Fate is also nominated for the RPC Fantasy Award 2011. Have a look at the RPC website and cast your vote.
PIR 012 Mono + ZUB 003 Washed-up bits
PIR 012 Mono and ZUB 003 Washed-up bits are available!
The other guy did not seem to want to accept that he’d lost. Everybody lost against Mono, though. At any game. And in any knife fight.
Mono completes the pirate crew… for now!
ZUB 003 Washed-up bits consists of 21 individual bits and is ideal for decorating a character’s base, dioramas and/or terrain pieces.
PIR 012 Mono
PIR 012 Mono to be released Mid-April!
A free spirit. Unchained, unfettered. Always on the lookout for an adventure. Thus at odds with landlubber society and its petty rules, he signed on with the pirates.
Mono is not just the fastest climber, you also underestimate his right upper cut at your peril! Not to mention his left hook. Har har! He was sculpted by Bobby Jackson
Mono completes the pirate crew… for now.
