Then contact your nearest planetary recruitment office!’ Human-populated space is inundated round the clock with these advertising messages which have proven to be a great success. Because the Komplex is the military power which is under the direct control of the Interstellar Commission and many want to benefit from the resources which it has at its disposal.<\/p>\n

The Komplex’s precursor was originally founded on Earth as a UN Blue Beret force in the aftermath of the first generation ships having left for the colonies. The Interstellar Commission eventually took control of those troops in order to consolidate and maintain its claim to power. They were massively reinforced and upgraded with new technologies, advanced weapons, and the most modern spaceships. They have been serving as the Komplex’s military arm ever since, imposing law and order within and without the Commission’s sphere of influence. Their duty is to protect citizens from danger, to secure trade routes to the colonies, and even to put down entire uprisings. <\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Faction game mechanics<\/h1>\n

Komplex units are extremely well trained and highly disciplined. They can be deployed very quickly and thus constitute an excellent quick reaction force. In particular, the constant, extremely tough drill to which the soldiers of the complex are subjected gives them an unparalleled ability to react to anything their enemies may spring on them. As a result, many units and characters can use free actions or reactions which allow them to react at lightning speed to certain enemy actions. <\/p>\n

Their equipment is highly reliable and always at the cutting edge of technology. Always putting functionality before design. <\/p>\n

Franz Alarich<\/span><\/h1>\n
\n

Admiral Franz Alarich is an experienced Komplex soldier. Failure is anathema to his philosophy.
Serving the Komplex with unswerving loyalty, he spent most of his 174 years in cryogenic sleep. As a result, he has outlived both his wife and his son, but such is the Fate of dedicated Komplex leaders. He carries an old analogue picture of them on his person at all times.
Any doubts me have ever had about having made the right choices in life are quickly squashed by his overwhelming sense of duty and his commitment of fighting for justice.

Coxswain’s Mate Samu is a Yngling in the service of the Komplex.<\/span><\/p>\n

He is a technically highly skilled crew member stationed on the bridge. Due to his physique, he is rarely deployed in a combat role in the field. <\/span><\/p>\n

His superior overview of the battlefield helps other units to cover great distances with ease.<\/span><\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

Gertrude Stone<\/span><\/h1>\n

Lieutenant Gertrude Stone is a capable, up-and-coming officer. She is ruthless and without scruples, mercy and empathy are alien concepts to her. Gertrude follows orders loyally and resolutely. She is, however, fully prepared to openly criticise a superior’s orders if she considers it warranted. <\/span>
She is capable of effortless counterattacks even in the middle of intense combat situations.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n
