Hi, I see the game is out. I've got quite a few of the FreeBooter miniatures as I've started collecting them. About two thirds of the range. Can you let me know what the offer is? You mention it here:
"We are running a special offer for a limited time for people who purchased some of the older miniatures before the Freebooter's Fate cards were available."
What is the offer? Is it the 10/15% off deal, to buy the book with some of the miniatures to get started?
I also don't understand, as all the miniatures I have are the older ones. You've only just put the gaming card in latest ones, pirate captain etc? A lot of miniatures held by the UK distributor (to go out to the shops in the UK) will still have the old picture card. I now understand I need the deck to play the game. But what about people (like me) who've already bought miniatures and don't have the character game cards? It's not very clear to me. Are all these details contained in the rulebook? Will the character cards be available seperately for purchase? Will you be sending them out to dealers to update the products that they already have in stock/ on the shelves? Does the offer mentioned on the site refer to that?
I've actually kept all the cards from the boxes and keep them in a seperate album (lovelly, as it's shameful to throw away such nice artwork). Highly collectable due to the nice artwork and inspirational. I hope you will continue with this nice artwork on the blister boxes . Will these be replaced by the character game cards?
I'm glad this forum is up and running, I did send a few E-Mails but didn't get any response. Understand that you are busy though.
For any other native English speaker reading this thread: go to the shop, category Freebooter's Fate, scroll to the very bottom and you'll find ZUB 000, an option to order character cards for miniatures you bought before the cards were out.
Yep. I've got it now Morkin, and have bought them. I either didn't see that, or it wasn't showing prior. I asked for every card, so they are sending me 34, I had a packet of those card protector sleeves as well, and it came to 7.90 Euro which was £6.91 with postage.
You know they have a British flag up the top, Be a good idea if they had three forums, one alone for UK. As I've a feeling most of the posts, and information will be in German. I should have payed more attention in school .
I wouldn't be so sure about most comments and info being in German: the most intense discussion about the game so far has been on a UK forum, UKCORD. I was on holiday until earlier today so things were a bit quiet, but it will be my job to see to the English language side of things, and I will try to make sure that everything important in German gets translated into English. The other way round is far less of a problem.
As for separate forums: we'll have to see how things develop. We'd really like there to be one big happy community, but if there is too much of a muddle due to the different languages, we might have to rethink that.
There should probably be some rules here as well, I'll see if I can whip up a few.
About this list of charakter cards we were "allowed" to order for miniatures who have been bought before the game arrived:
ASS 001, ASS 002, ASS 003, ASS 004, ASS 006
GOB 004, GOB 005, GOB 006, GOB 007, GOB 009
IMP 004, IMP 005, IMP 006, IMP 007, IMP 008, IMP 009, IMP 010
LIM 008, LIM 010
PIR 002, PIR 003, PIR 004, PIR 005, PIR 007, PIR 008
SOL 003, SOL 005
STE 003 = PIR 013
I tried to order Spitfire, the pirate specialist. The miniature should be
STE 004 Dixie Dynamite, but it´s not in the list. Did you forget or wasn´t it printed yet?
Besides, for players it might be interesting to own all cards, so a complete set of character cards would be nice.
Sorry, there seems to be a misunderstanding here. It's not the case that the character cards offer is arbitrarily limited to just a subset of cards. Those are all the cards for existing miniatures which we have. Not all of the Freebooter miniatures are part of the game, only the ones you find in the "Freebooter's Fate" section of the shop. By the way: Dixie Dynamite isn't Spitfire, all similarities aside.
So, sorry if you felt you weren't allowed to order any other cards, it's just that there aren't any other cards. Of course, the offer also doesn't apply to miniatures which were released after the cards, because they were sent out with FF cards from the very beginning.
