I have basically emulated what has already been posted. And I think it will make for great game play once the bases are finished and I have added rocks, foliage and some treasure chests, crates , sacks etc.
Thanks everyone who has posted previous pictures. These have been very helpful !
Look, there are 2 levels to place minis... It may be difficult to handle a close combat in the middle of the first level, if you know what I mean. But it is definately looking great on the table, of course!!! It´s having a look like a watchtower or command base or something like this...
Its only an intepretation of what Freebooters have already made.
Your point is indeed well made regarding the middle level my friends have mentioned the same.
I do need to cut in some sort of trap doors with ropes or rigging of sorts between levels to make it more practicle to move between levels.
But many thanks for posting the picture... couldn't think of any other way to get them on.
I have also been making some spanish villa type buildings. Agan similar to those posted here. What I am looking for is some sort of textured floor for a city / town paving. Most of the model shops in the UK have stopped doing textured floors.
I have to say though, the whole Pirates cove / island thing really makes for a more fun game and setting the atmosphere. But your all right... needs finishing... lol I have done the easy bit so far
Looks good - the stuff on the shelves in the backgrounds looks interesting too!
A ship !

yes, those kind of floor tiles... and oh my god... not gonna dremmel a table top
Thats a nice texture... I will see about getting some of those; though its not going to be as cheap as an embossed lino.
I have been toying with the idea of a dock... but thinking maybe a large island... small town eminating from one corner.. through a little tropical jungle then out to a raised warf to the sea with a ship docked. That way I dont have to elivate the land or sink the sea... keep the board realatively flat (this would be a second table top board)
Thats a cracking site for furnishing a table top but thinking I may invest next month for some of those pieces.
