Before the arquebusiers could react, some gripping the barrels of their guns to use them as makeshift clubs, the Asaltores had stormed ahead, arquebuses held horizontally ahead like a spear.

Asaltores are Imperial Armada deckhands. They can fire their assault arquebuses during a full sprint, while charging towards the opponent.
