Mercenary
At the edges of the empire, the influence of the Interstellar Commission is waning. Its military arm, the Complex, in particular, rarely passes by the planets on patrols and so large areas have been left to their own devices. It is therefore not surprising that all kinds of adventurers, let’s call them adventurers, have settled there.
These areas are mostly ruled by criminal gangs and despots who have become kings and live off oppression, smuggling and raids on merchant ships or occasionally on another planet. A hard habitat for those who live here, with even harder trials. Many of those who have passed them have therefore become sought-after mercenaries. Specialists in their respective fields and a good supplement for the weaknesses of their own troops, or they are used as cannon fodder when things get dicey. Because they all have one weakness – they can’t trust anyone and no one trusts them.
In addition to the five most powerful corporations in the Interstellar Commission, other megacorporations, such as Wu Anquan, which specializes in security issues, also have a great deal of influence.

Mutants can activate a hidden power within them. Doctors from the Murfs have discovered that this is not based on the human part of their DNA. Too frequent use leads to spontaneous changes in the foreign DNA, which causes the mutants’ entire DNA to become unstable. Serious, harmful mutations are the result.
Murfs can increase their abilities with mutation points. But caution is advised: Using them too often can result in critical hits.
Gordon Freep
There is a saying on Skrot: “We live on Skrot, we die on Skrot.”
Gordon, who was born there, wants to break this cycle and would do anything to finally leave Skrot.
Of course, Gordon doesn’t feel called to be a scrap dealer, he leaves that to others. But as a cover for mercenary activities and other lucrative business, it’s a wonderful job.
Zcann
Zcann is a 1000-year-old robot that Gordon dug up as a teenager.
He lives disguised as a “dumb” disassembly robot, as owning robots with his level of AI is punishable by death. Apart from Gordon, nobody knows his secret.
During his work, he observes people’s behavior with interest. It’s hard to believe that they have changed so little over the centuries during his sleep.
Tilka
Tilkka is part of Gordon’s gang because she regularly needs money to improve and repair her exoskeleton.
The Yingling, who is dependent on an exoskeleton due to her many years in zero gravity, is always tinkering with something. On new spare parts for her body, on her rifle, on other cyborgs or on Zcann. There is always something for her to tinker with.
Wrecker
Wreckers are scrap dismantlers on Skrot who have implanted one or two spare parts. They use whatever the scrap planet has to offer.
When Gordon needs help, he can rely on them. With their tools, they have taken apart many an enemy.
Natalie
Natalie Wu is the daughter of one of the richest men in the galaxy, Yang Wu, super-CEO of Wu Ānquán, the most powerful security company in the galaxy.
As such, she can indulge in as many caprices as she likes. For example, escaping the obligations of the corporation in a luxury space yacht with a torpek as her lover.
Natalie’s mechanical arm is Wu Ānquán’s latest cybernetic development with integrated poison claws that she can extend at will.
Dohan Valley
Dohan Tal comes from one of the most prestigious families on the planet Cashmer, and the eyepiece implants their company makes are some of the most popular cyber upgrades around. But the difference between his family and the Wus is about as great as between him and Rexx.
As Torpeks are not exactly considered sex symbols, Dohan suspects that Natalie is more into his intellect. He doesn’t just appreciate her for her physical advantages, because her wealth is also very handsome.
Rex
The beasts of Korr are not only considered the ugliest pets in the galaxy, but also the worst-tempered. But Natalie has taken a fancy to Rexx, which she received from her father as an egg and hatched with her own hands.
If it were up to Dohan, he would have released Rexx ten planets ago.
If it can’t get a grip, it spits out a corrosive substance at short range.
Twins
“What are the twins’ names anyway?” Natalie pondered.
Natalie changed her bodyguard duo regularly due to injury or excessive demands on the respective persons.
The current double pack
seemed very reliable, but that was all she could say about them. Sue and Lu? Dodger and Badger? Something like that.
