We have just the thing for you for the cold and dark season – paint miniatures and play a round of Freebooter’s Fate or Ascending Fate with friends. Are you up for it?
Spada Grande for the Brotherhood, a nimble Raptor as a Mercenary and Mammon for the Tianyu will be released for Freebooter’s Fate in January.
For Ascending Fate, Partholon for the An Dan, Grimveig for the Arvingar, the mighty Raummöwe for the Komplex and Vit-Or for the Murfs will expand your forces.
We have a big package of new products for you: 22 new items for Ascending Fate!
First and foremost is the 2-player starter box. It really has it all. We crammed everything we could into the box – more than 2 kilos of miniatures, rules, campaign booklets, Gaming cards, markers, container and crate kits, game boards and much more. It really should leave nothing to be desired.
We have put together three bundles at a special price to make it especially easy for you to get started.
Each faction, An Dan, Arvingar, Komplex and the Murfs, starts with four products: faction starter, two units and faction markers.
On top of that, there is the new limited edition figure – L.I.C.S. Only while stock lasts!
Sure – there are also new miniatures for Freebooter’s Fate. Some of you already know Escorbutaand the Dodo of Doom from the Spiel Essen. Yingtaois brand new for the Tianyu!
The time has come – Ascending Fate will be officially released on 4 December.
We have 22 new products for Ascending Fate alone! These include the new limited edition figure – L.I.C.S.
Of course, there are also new additions to Freebooter’s Fate. You already know Escorbuta and the Dodo of Horror from the game. Yingtao is brand new for the Tianyu!
We have the grandiose trade fair battle at the Spiel Essen with just a few minor injuries. Unfortunately, we had to skip the Crisis – thanks to a limp captain who didn’t want to stand on the bridge despite preventative measures*.
If you want to get a small impression of the game and marvel at the “big” model of this year’s limited edition figure, here a cool report by Lara from the WDR. 😉
But now we finally have the new products. Arrr!
This year’s limited edition miniature is the self-portrait of Captain Klocke. Limited to 1000 finely detailed resin figures. Highly coveted at the Spiel in Essen, which means that the stock has already dwindled quite a bit.
Captain Klocke can be hired by everyone except the Amazons and the Shadows. As the captain also has a totally dark, abysmal side, there is also a shadow version of him. The best rule is of course“My game, my rules“. This allows him to steal a special rule from his opponent and use it himself, hey, hey.
Our tenth Tales of Longfall expansion “The Lost Valley“ and the Mercenary Theme Box are available in all their glory. It describes Emilia, Kawenga and Claude’s search for the Lost Valley. Enlist the support of the three mercenaries and take your team on dangerous adventures, overcome huge bosses and save…
Ascending Fate
Delivery has begun and we will most likely be through with it in November. Yeah!
We wish you a healthy November – do better than the captain 😉

* Was it either far too little rum or too much? In any case, the viruses survived. Shiver me timbers!
We have lots of new products to show you at Spiel Essen from 23 to 26 October. You can find us in Hall 1, Stand A113.
This year’s Spiel fair is very special because we are celebrating 15 years of Freebooter’s Fate! Everyone who makes a purchase at our stand will receive a 15% voucher for our online shop as a thank you.
This year’s limited edition miniature is a self-portrait of Capt’n Klocke. Limited to 1,000 highly detailed resin figures.
Captain Klocke can be hired by anyone except the Amazons and Shadows. Since the captain also has a totally sinister, dark side, there is also a shadow version of him. The best rule is, of course, ‘My game, my rules’. This allows him to steal a special rule from his opponent and use it himself, heh heh.
Our tenth Tales of Longfall expansion, ‘Das Verlorene Tal’, and the Mercenaries themed crew box will also be released at the game.
Some of the monsters you may encounter on your adventure are: Dodo of Doom, Raptor and Escorbuta. Escorbuta is also one of the terrifying final bosses!
And then the Captain got carried away – there are two new Borstis coming to the game: Kratzborsti and Halloween Borsti. The other Borstis are also included – and by the way, the Festive roast is not a Borsti 😉
Ascending Fate
We still don’t know when the goods will reach us. Dock workers in Rotterdam are currently on strike. That’s why Ascending Fate is not available at Spiel Essen.
Due to preparations for Spiel Essen and the delivery of Ascending Fate*, we are unfortunately unable to offer pre-orders for Spiel this year.
You can find us in Hall 1, Stand A113.
23rd to 26th October 2025.
Preview of the Mercenaries themed crew box: Kawenga, Emilia and Claude. Join Emilia on her quest to find the Lost Valley.
Yours Freebooter Team
* Unfortunately, we still do not know when the goods will reach us. We hope, but it will probably not be possible to deliver Ascending Fate before Spiel Essen.
Everything is coming together for us in October. Preparations for the fair and the eagerly awaited delivery of Ascending Fate.
The former are going great. You can find us in Hall 1, Stand A113. We have some great new products with us.
Among other things, our Captain Klocke finally has his own figure – a self-portrait and a limited edition at that!
A little preview: Capt’n Klocke, Tales #10: The Lost Valley and Escorbuta – our largest model for Freebooter’s Fate to date!
Ascending Fate
We are waiting for the container ship to finally dock in Hamburg. We are ready to deliver Ascending Fate before the Spiel in Essen. If we succeed, we will have it with us at the fair. If not… We will keep you informed here at Gamefound updates.
The new products are available immediately and will be dispatched from October 2nd.
