GPSR
The EU’s new product safety regulation, known as the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), comes into force on December 13, 2024.
What does this mean for you as a retailer? All consumer products placed on the EU market from this date onwards must contain additional mandatory information when sold, particularly via an online store. According to the GPSR regulation, this information must be clearly and visibly placed on the product.
A reassuring note in advance – products that were placed on the market before December 13, 2024 and do not contain the mandatory GPSR information may continue to be sold.

Further notes on assembling HDF kits
Read the assembly instructions on the back carefully before assembling. The individual parts are attached to the frame with small bars. These must be carefully cut through to remove the parts. It is best to use a sharp craft knife to do this so that thin parts do not bend or break and the edges remain straight.
Some parts, such as windows or doors, can be built in different versions. For example, a closed door can simply remain in the door frame. In this case, the connection can be reinforced with a drop of glue to prevent the part from being pushed out unintentionally.
It is recommended that the most important parts, such as shelves and walls, are first briefly put together before gluing to check the accuracy of fit.
If reworking is necessary, the HDF can be finished with a file or sandpaper. If a lasered edge that is not glued needs to be sanded, it is recommended that it is then brushed with diluted wood glue to prevent fraying and create a smooth edge. Most components are designed to hold without glue. Please take special care when drying small or thin parts, as they could otherwise break or deform when they are loosened again. The laser-cut edges of the HDF discolor in the raw state. We therefore recommend that you pay attention to your clothing when assembling and wear disposable gloves if necessary.
We recommend using standard wood glue (white glue) or thick superglue for assembly (thin superglue is not suitable for this material). Apply a thin layer of glue or adhesive and press the parts together immediately. Secure the parts with clamps or rubber bands until the glue or adhesive has dried through. Wipe off excess glue, especially superglue, immediately, as paint does not adhere well to it and the joint will look messy even when painted. Thick superglue is better than wood glue for gluing small parts.
Painting of HDF
We recommend priming the buildings before painting. Spray primers are ideal for this. When using them, it is important to always apply the paint thinly and evenly. If in doubt, two thin coats are always better than one thick one. When priming with a brush, make sure that the paint is not applied too watery so that the HDF parts do not swell and warp as a result. Allow any primer to dry thoroughly, at least several hours, preferably overnight. The building can then be painted with commercially available acrylic or enamel paints.
Alternatively, the parts can also be conveniently painted in the frame before assembly. Care should be taken to ensure that the glued areas remain free of paint.
