What do I need to get started with Ascending Fate?
To play Ascending Fate, all you need is a mate, the 2 player starter box (alternatively 2 starter boxes, a pack of game cards and some gaming material) and your gaming table.
All you need to begin with can be found on these pages (apart from the table and the mate – that’s very much a “bring-your-own” situation).
Which faction?
To make it easier for you to choose a faction, we have categorised the individual factions by difficulty level based on how they play and what game mechanics they employ.
The more complex the crew is to handle, the higher its difficulty level.
There are 2 categories in total:
For beginners
These factions are easy to command and are particularly suited for beginners.
Advanced
Due to their style of play, these factions require an experienced mind to successfully hold their own on the battlefield.
And then what?
After your first few games with the basic box or the starter boxes, you can expand your factions as you wish.
